Cremation,Burial and Memorials

Cremation, burial, or memorial service is a matter of personal choice.

A burial can take place at metropolitan and country/church cemeteries. 

A cremation service can take place at a crematorium located at Karrakatta, Fremantle, Pinnaroo, and Baldivis. ( Some major country cities or towns also have their own crematoriums.) 

A service prior to the cremation or burial can be conducted in various chapels or churches.

For a more personalised ceremony and by special arrangement, the service can take place in a location that may relate to your loved one, perhaps your home, garden, riverside, favorite location, sporting club, or community hall.

Attended or Unattended 

An attended funeral is open to the public; unless private, then only those invited would attend. If the service is held in a place other than the cemetery, family and friends may wish to accompany the cortege to the crematorium or graveside for committal.

An unattended funeral takes place after a service has been conducted, or in some cases, no service at all, and it is not attended by mourners and may be either a burial or cremation attended by funeral personnel only.

Memorial service

A memorial service takes place after a cremation or burial, or in some cases, the body of the person for whom the service is held has not been recovered.

Depending on circumstances, the ashes may or may not be present at the memorial.
